Hello,
So this is how i’m planning my art comparative study slide by slide:

- two artists from different eras
- (try finding artists who don’t use the same media)
- 3 pieces (2 from your first artist and 1 from the second artist)

Slide one - Introduction: Introduce both of your artists briefly

Slide two - First artist biography: talk about the artist’s background and how they became an artist

Slide three - Formal analysis of piece 1 from your first artist: Use art terminology to describe the piece

Slide four - Function and purpose of piece 1 from your first artist: explain why they chose to create this piece

Slide five - Cultural significance of piece 1 from your first artist: explain how the piece relates to they culture

Slide six - formal analysis of piece 2 from your first artist: use art terminology to describe this live but try not to use the same ones from piece 1 (slide three)

Slide seven - Function and purpose of piece 2 from your first artist: explain what lead them to creat this piece and why they did it

Slide eight - Cultural significance of piece 2 from your first artist: explain how this piece relates to their culture, try to not sound repetitive (slide five)

Slide nine - Second artist bibliography: give background information about that artist and how they became an artist

Slide ten - Formal analysis of the piece from artist 2: use art terminology, once again, try not to be repetitive and use different vocabulary (this is why you should choose artists who do not use the same media)

Slide eleven - Function and purpose of the piece from artist 2: explain why this piece was created

Slide twelve - Cultural significance of the piece from artist 2: explain how this piece relates to their culture and time they live(d) in.

Slide thirteen - Compare two pieces (artistic style): from the three that you have just analyzed using art terminology

Slide fourteen - Compare two pieces (cultural): compare the two pieces by their cultural significances

Slide fifteen - Compare two pieces (theme): compare and contrast the themes that each artists used in these pieces

Slide sixteen - Compare with your own work (theme): compare the pieces with your own work but only regarding the theme

Slide seventeen - Compare with your own work (style and technique): compare the pieces with the techniques you used using art terminology

Slide eighteen - Compare with your own work (cultural significance / function and purpose): explain the similarities and differences your piece has got with the other pieces culturally and explain whether purpose are similar or not

Slide nineteen - Sources

Apologies for it being a little long, hope that it helped.

If you have any more tips, please feel free to comment on it thank you.
